Francis R. “Frank” “Moose” Mrowca
Francis R. “Frank” “Moose” Mrowca, 63, of Uniontown, Pa., died suddenly Sunday morning, October 29, 2006. He was born October 2, 1943, in Oliver, Pa., the son of Francis and Carolina Mihelcic Mrowca.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Frank and Margaret Takoch.
Frank was employed as Manager of the Big Banana Fruit Market on Route 21.
He was a graduate of the North Union Township High School Class of 1961. While at North Union, he was a member of the All County Football Team.
He enjoyed hunting and golfing and was skillful at home repair projects.
He loved animals, especially Lady and July, his dog and cat.
Frank was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps Reserves.
He was a member of the Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church of Fairchance, Pa.,
Frank is survived by his living wife of 32 years, Mary Ann Takoch Mrowca, whom he married on October 26, 1974; sisters, Carolyn Mrowca and Agnes Horwat of Oliver, Pa.; niece, Michele Durista of Uniontown, Pa.; nephew, Michael “Mikie” Takoch Jr. of Uniontown, Pa.; sister-in-law, Delores Takoch of Uniontown, Pa., and brother-in-law, Michael Takoch Sr. of Uniontown, Pa.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday 2 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, November 3, 2006, until 10:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will beheld.
A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11 a.m. in the Ss. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church of Fairchance with the Rev. Father Andrew M. Kawecki and the Rev. Father Thomas Lukach as Co-Celebrants.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
Christian Mothers Rosary, Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m.
Parish wake Service will be held Thursday evening at 8:45 p.m.
