The service will last approximately half an hour with light refreshments served afterwards.

Officials said, “Those who teach the children who live in our various towns, boroughs and patches have an extremely challenging job. The faith community wishes to lift up our area teachers in prayer. The intention of this service is not to convert anyone or to sell any particular religion. There should be no misgivings about separation of church and state. All who participate do so as a matter of personal choice.

“We want our educators to know that the faith community is praying for them. If an area teacher is unable to attend but has a specific prayer concern, he or she can e-mail the Klondike Clergy group at revbob1@earthlink.net. Perhaps the teacher has a particularly challenging class or student and wishes specific prayer. Confidentiality will be kept. Whatever the prayer request may be, whether for wisdom or protection, or guidance, or patience or humility, those needs can be lifted up.’
