Pauline D. Hancheck Volek, 86, of Carmichaels, Pa., passed away August 30, 2006, in South West Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg, Pa. She was born June 13, 1920, in Adah, Pa., daughter of the late Andrew Sabol and Elizabeth Sabol, her two husband’s, Joseph Hancheck Sr., and John Volek are also decesded.

She was a retired employee of Gateway Manufacturing Company in Masontown, Pa., a member of Saint Hugh Church, Carmichaels, Pa, Rosary Society, Carmichaels Senior Citizens, and the Birthday Club.

Surviving are her children: Joseph Hancheck Jr. and wife, Cindy of Carmichaels, Pa., and Raymond Hancheck of Carmichaels; three grandchildren: Samantha and Raymond Hancheck and Renee Smith.

She is preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Martin, Michael, Andrew Sabol Jr., Betty Valant, Ann Hudock, and Mary Horvat.

Friends will be received in the PAUL M. LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held Saturday at 9:30 a.m., in the funeral home followed by a Burial Mass at 10 a.m., in Saint Hugh Roman Catholic Church with Rev. John Bauer, Celebrant.

Burial will be in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa.

A Parish Wake will be held at 3:45 p.m., Friday, in the funeral home
