Mary E. Davis DeRienzo, 84, of Fayette City, Pa., died Friday, September 1, 2006, at 3:15 p.m. in her home. Born February 1, 1922, in Washington Township, she was the daughter of the late James J. and Alice C. Dolan Davis.

A resident of Fayette City, Mrs. DeRienzo was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Fayette City and a homemaker.

Surviving are her two sons and daughters-in-law: Patsy P. and Janet DeRienzo of Charleroi, Pa., Victor D. and JoLynn DeRienzo of Belle Vernon, Pa.; two daughters and one son-in-law: Marion A. “Toni” and James Helper of Smithton, Pa. and Victoria S. “Vicki-Sue” DeRienzo of Fayette City; three brothers and a sister-in-law: James J. Davis Jr. of Belle Vernon, Thomas E. Davis of Fayette City and Lawrence R. and Celia Davis of Belle Vernon; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Jane and Bill White of Ohio, Jerry and John Nusser of Washington Township, and Nancy and Webster Patridge of Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Marion “Mutsy” A. DeRienzo on July 13, 2002, a brother, Charles Davis and a sister Alice Sellaro.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 4, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, Pa., Family Owned and Operated, (724-929-6183).

A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church, Fayette City with The Rev. Leonard J. McAlpin as Celebrant.

Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
