ASBURY FELLOWSHIP CLASS MEETING will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Jean Griffith’s home. Please bring a half-dozen sandwiches or a salad and make a reservation. Devotions will be by Mary Lacava. Hostesses will be Jean Griffith, Alice Conn and Betty Syling. BROWNSVILLE SONS OF ITALY will host a spaghetti dinner on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the lodge hall on Water Street. The meal will consist of spaghetti, red and white, homemade meatballs, salad, Italian bread, cake and beverage. A complementary small glass of wine will be offered to diners who choose to accept it. The cost of the meal will be $6 for adults and $3 for children 6 to 12 years of age. Children under 6 years of age will receive a free meal. Dine in and take-outs are available by calling 724-785-9982. The public is welcome.

SMITHFIELD VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT will hold a blood drive for the American Red Cross from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the fire hall.

WEST NEWTON SENIOR CENTER will hold an open house brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 8. Takeouts will be available from 10 to 11 a.m. The event will feature Rudy Stanish, the omelet king. Menu will include omelets, coffee, tea, juice, bread and a Viennese dessert table. Donation is $7. For tickets, call 724-872-4976.
