Forest Wayne Fleming, 79, of Belle Vernon, Pa., formerly of Grindstone, Pa., died Monday, September 4, 2006, in the Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. He was born May 4, 1927, in Johnstown, Pa., a son of the late Alfred and the late Edith Boyer Fleming.

He was a member of the First Christian Church of Grindstone and a veteran of the United States Navy.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Christina Fleming, great-granddaughter, Alexis Workman and sister, Phyllis Howarth.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Geller Fleming; son, Robert Fleming and wife Gail of Pataskala, Ohio; two daughters, Sandra Workman and husband Harold of Grindstone and Patricia Fleming of Belle Vernon; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Alfred Fleming of Fayette City.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, September 7, 2006, at 11:30 a.m. in the First Christian Church of Grindstone, Pa., with the Rev. Larry Smith officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of the ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main Street, Fayette City, Pa.
