Dale Kovach
Dale Kovach, 54, of Brownsville, Pa., passed away Monday, September 4, 2006, at his home with his loving family by his bedside. He was born April 5, 1952, in West Brownsville, Pa., the son of Frank J. Kovach Sr. and the late Julie King Kovach.
Dale had many hobbies including hunting, fishing, golf, gambling at Wheeling, sitting on his deck with binoculars and spotting deer and rooting for the Pirates and Steelers, often traveling out of state with friends to cheer them on. He also dressed up as Santa for many Christmas Eves and visited unfortunate children, giving them gifts and treats.
He will be sadly missed by his father, Frank J. Kovach Sr. of West Brownsville, Pa.; his wife, Sandy Shumaker of Brownsville, Pa.; three daughters, Marsha Kovach and fianc? Jeff Jellots of Brownsville, Pa., Tracie Skonezny and husband Terry of Clarksville, Pa. and Stacie Mancini and husband Dan of Brownsville, Pa.; son, Brian Shumaker Sr. and wife Melonie of California, Pa.; four grandchildren, Haley and Josh Skonezny and Brian Shumaker Jr. and Madison Shumaker; brother, Frank J. Kovach Jr. and wife Pauline of West Brownsville, Pa.; and sisters: Pamela Krcelich and husband, George of West Brownsville, Kathy Tressler and husband Arn of Brownsville, Pa; nephew, George Krcelich; two nieces, Julia and Eva Kovach.
Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, Pa., Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. the hour of service with the Rev. Alexander Jalso officiating.
Interment will be in Acklin Cemetery in Brownsville, Pa.
