Paul C. Karwatsky
Paul C. Karwatsky, 59, of Connellsville, Pa., died at home on Thursday, September 7, 2006, comforted by his loving family. He was born September 30, 1946, in Connellsville, son of the late James C. and Regina Soltis Karwatsky Carol.
Paul was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church where he served on the Administrative Board, Council of Ministries, and Pastor Parish Relations Committee. He was active in his community where he was one of the founders of Connellsville Community Ministries, serving as a board member and president in the past. He was also past president and treasurer of Hill Grove Cemetery Association. Paul was owner and operator of Karwatsky and Sons Building Contractor for over 23 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening and always found time to spend with his wife, children, grandchildren and many friends. He was also very active with the Free Masons and a member of Scottish Rite Lodge Valley of Uniontown.
Paul is survived by his wife, Jean Lewellen Karwatsky to whom he was married 38 years; a daughter, Rebecca J. DeWitt of Connellsville; two sons: Dan Karwatsky and wife, Tara of Scottdale, Andrew Karwatsky and fianc?e, Deanna Sanner and her son, Ethan Mulhorn all of Connellsville; a grandson, Dustin R. DeWitt of Connellsville; a sister, Pam Herman and husband, Tom of Connellsville; step-father, John Carol of Scottdale; two nieces and several nephews.
Family and friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 South First Street West Side Connellsville, Pa., Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m., and 6 to 9 p.m., and Monday until 11 a.m., the hour of service with Pastor Elmer Reamer officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenridge Memorial Park.
