Death reported State police said a 46-year-old Hookstown man was killed Friday morning when the tractor-trailer he was working on rolled onto him at the Kirby Welcome Center on Interstate 79 at 8:52 a.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Greene County Coroner’s office.

Police did not release the man’s identity as of press time. No further details were immediately available.

One-car crash

State police said no one was injured when a vehicle driven by Stefani Plume of Lemont Furnace struck a stone pillar at 11 p.m. Thursday.

Cars collide

State police said vehicles driven by Alex Hubans of Uniontown and Tiffany Hadenak of New Salem collided on Route 21 at 5:09 p.m. Thursday.

Masontown police fielded 188 requests for service during August, including five complaints of criminal trespassing, seven reports of criminal mischief and 14 incidents of harassment, Masontown police said. Officers made 14 arrests during the month, police said.

Gasoline stolen

Patrick Stewart of Uniontown told state police that several gallons of gasoline were siphoned from his vehicle while it was parked on Jefferson Street between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. Thursday, police said.

Two charged

Charles Shuff, 26, and Crystal Hartman, 26, both of Leckrone, were charged with harassment after an altercation in which Shuff struck Hartman in the head with a telephone and Hartman bit Shuff’s chest at a Leckrone-Highhouse residence around 12:15 a.m. Friday, state police said.

Barn destroyed

According to Fayette 911, fire destroyed a barn on Ball Hill Road in Adah Friday night. Four fire companies responded to the blaze. No additional information was available at press time.

One-vehicle accident

State police at Belle Vernon said a 16-year-old Ellsworth girl sustained minor injuries Thursday when she swerved her vehicle to miss a deer on Interstate 70 in Fallowfield Township. According to police, the vehicle went off the roadway, struck the embankment and overturned her vehicle landing on the roof at about at 10:04 p.m. She was taken to Washington Hospital by Bentworth EMS. The vehicle was towed from the scene
