Albert F. Zidek
Albert F. Zidek, age 85, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2006, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born October 18, 1920, in York Run, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, the son of Andrew Zidek and Angeline Hubany Zidek.
Albert was a member of Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church.
He was a Veteran of World War II who served with the United States Army and was a member of The Catholic War Veterans.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Andrew Zidek, Paul Zidek and John Zidek, and three sisters, Agnes Radovich, Dorothy Ronsky and Rosella Maddock.
Albert was a man of Christian values. He was a devoted and loving husband and father and will be sadly missed by his wife, Agnes M. Mollica Zidek; a son, Albert F. Zidek Jr. of El Cerrito, California; several nieces and nephews; and a special cousin and caregiver, Elizabeth Swartz.
Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, September 13, until 9:30 a.m. at which time a Blessing Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson Street, with the Rev. Father Michael J. Crookston as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown, where Military Rites will be accorded by American Legion Post 51 and North Union Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8543.
