Mary L. Foutz, 90, of Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown, Pa., passed away Monday, September 11, 2006. She was born on March 21, 1916, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of the late Edward and Marie O’Brien Lohle.

Prior to her living at Mount Macrina, she resided at Deer Lake Park for 55 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, J. Ralph Foutz, her brothers, James Lohle and infant brother Paul Lohle, her sister, Dolores Lohle and a beloved granddaughter, Jamie Marie Foutz.

She will be sadly missed by her loving son and daughter-in-law James and Joan Foutz of Deer Lake Park; adoring granddaughters, Julie Barrett and husband John of Pittsburgh and Jaclyn Foutz of Deer Lake Park and a newly born great-granddaughter, Jamie Marie Barrett; a brother, Edward Lohle of Pittsburgh and a cherished sister, Irene Gornay of New York. She also held dear to her heart six favorite nieces and nephews, formerly of Manhattan, New York who enjoyed their summers with her at Deer Lake, Debbie LeMere (Bob) of Louisiana, Edward Gornay (Marie) of California, Lisa Gornay Lutz (Bill) of New York, Carolyn Watson (Fred) of New York, Regina Harper (Dwayne) of Tennessee and Anthony Gornay (Diane) of Tennessee.

Mary was a lifetime member of Saint Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, Farmington, (Some referred to her as the Matriarch), where she served as Secretary of the Ladies Guild for well over thirty years. She devoted much time to the annual Lenten fish dinners and card parties. Additionally, she was secretary-treasurer of the Deer Lake Ladies Auxiliary and official chef for the July 4th barbecue.

During her residence at Mount Macrina Manor, she was a very active participant in activities and social events.

After her husband passed away she worked for many years as an administrative secretary for the Uniontown School District.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Saint Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Salvatore Lamendola as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Visitation Cemetery, Elliottsville.
