Regis Patrick Collins
Regis Patrick Collins, 80, of Uniontown, Pa., died Tuesday, September 12, 2006, in Monongahela General Hospital. He was born March 28, 1926, in McKeesport, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick Regis and Corrine Collins, his wife, Alice McDowell Collins and five brothers, Leo Collins, John Collins, James Collins, Bernard Collins and Thomas Collins.
Mr. Collins was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Church in Uniontown, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47 in Uniontown.
He was a veteran of World War II having served honorably in the United States Army and had been a millwright with United States Steel Corporation for 38 years.
Mr. Collins is survived by seven children, Regis Patrick Collins Jr. and his wife Cindy of Mentor, Ohio, Robert Leo Collins, Mabel Brownfield and Thomas McDowell all of Hopwood, Pa., John Francis Collins and his wife Kimberly of Baltimore, Maryland and Betty Rozzell and her husband William and Clyde McDowell all of Uniontown, Pa.; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Edward Collins of New Jersey and Dorothy Collins and Corrine Kutchak both of McKeesport, Pa.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., 15401, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday morning until 10 a.m., when Reverend Michael J. Crookston will conduct a Blessing Service.
Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Military Honors will be accorded graveside by VFW Post 47, Uniontown, Pa.
