Donna Van Bremen
Donna Van Bremen, 91, of Belle Vernon, Pa., died Friday, September 15, 2006, in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born August 17, 1915, in Maryland, daughter of the late Clarence Fike and Ada Smith Fike.
A homemaker, Mrs. Van Bremen was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon. He loves were cooking, baking and making jellies. She unselfishly always gave to others.
Surviving are a son, Gerald and wife, Eleanor Van Bremen of Rostraver Township; daughter, Mrs. James (Neville) Vasko of Belle Vernon, Three grandchildren: Mrs. John (Lisa) Steban of Belle Vernon, Mrs. Bryan (Lara) Simpson of Warrenton, Virginia and Eugenia Van Bremen of New York, New York; six great-grandchildren: Rebecca, Kristina and Tyler Steban and Aubrey, Braedon and Carter Simpson; a brother, Milton Fisher of Millvale, New Jersey and a step-brother, Ronald Whyel of Belle Vernon; sisters: Anna Grace McGavitt of Belle Vernon and Norma Marlett of Altoona, Pa. Also, her beloved grand pets.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Carlus Van Bremen, brothers, William, Leonard, Luther and Bruce Fisher, sisters, Elnora Merigold and Elva Fisher.
Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, AND CREMATION SERVICE, INC., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, Pa., a Golden Rule Funeral Home, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 on Monday.
Additional viewing will be held at the FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF BELLE VERNON, Pa., on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. the time of Service with the Rev. Donald bowers officiating.
Interment will follow – Bethel Cemetery, Farmington, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon.
