George Allen Lambert
George Allen Lambert, 65, of Coal Center, Pa., passed away Friday, September 15, 2006, at home with his family by his side. He was born November 11, 1940, in Bentleyville, Pa., a son of the late Albert E. Lambert and Mabel H. Petro Lambert MCGavitt who survives in Belle Vernon, Pa.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Super Valu Trucking after 30 years of service.
Surviving are his wife whom he married August 29, 1981, JoAnn Troth Lambert; four sisters: Mabel Perkins and husband, Ron of Belle Vernon, Mary Chimislki of Coal Center, JoAnn Reeves of Chalk Hill, Pa. and Patti Devine of Belle Vernon; and mother-in-law, Josephine Troth of Fayette City, Pa. Also, survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Two brothers, Mike and Bill Lambert and a sister, Dorothy J. Crawford, preceded him in death.
Friends will be received in the ELEY/MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Main Street, Fayette City, Pa., this evening from 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, September 19, 2006, until 11 a.m. with the Rev. Wayne Boring officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, Pa.
