Alumni database All Saints Regional School in Masontown is updating its alumni database for future mailings. If you know of anyone who attended All Saints Grade School/High School or Kolb Memorial High School and would like to be on the mailing list or has a new address, please send the information to All Saints Regional School, 100 S. United Methodist Church
The Masontown United Methodist Church worships at 11 on Sunday mornings. At 9:45 a.m. there is an Adult Sunday School Class and the Pastor’s Class for youth in grades 6 through 12. Youth group usually meets at 7 p.m., but today they are carpooling at 12:30 p.m. to go on a bike hike. The children’s ministry takes place on Thursday afternoon from 4 to 6 at an event called Bible Club. It is for children in pre-school through fifth grade and features games, crafts, music and a fun lesson. Bible Club is open to all children regardless of their home church.
The Rev. Robert Lewis has just begun a new study on Tuesday nights for adults titled “Leadership from the Heart.” It is open to the community at large. Masontown Youth Center
The Power Plant Youth Center, sponsored by local area churches, is open to the children and youths of Masontown. Wednesday evenings from 6 to 7:30 are open for children up to grade five. On Friday nights, the youth center is open from 7 to 9:30 p.m. for youth in grades 6 to 12. For more information, contact Barb Lewis at 724-583-2655.
Cash Bash
All Saints Regional School will hold a cash bash on Sept. 30 at the All Saints Social Hall. The cost of the ticket is $20. Guest is $10. A $500 award will be given away every 15 minutes with a $4,000 grand prize given away at 11 p.m. Free food and refreshments will be available. Doors open at 6 p.m. The first drawing is at 7 p.m. Winner need not be present. Anyone interested may call the school at 724-583-2141.
Health screening
During the month of September, Dr. Chris Lee of Masontown Chiropractic will provide free health screenings, exams and adjustments to area emergency workers. Dr. Lee will also be presenting a special workshop titled “Life Without Limits,” which addresses some of the most recent strategies to improve your quality of life.
As part of the “Lifesaver’s Appreciation Day,” Dr. Lee will join many of the nation’s more than 60,000 chiropractors in conducting community health talks on the latest research studies involving the positive effects chiropractic can have on the overall emotional and physical well being of persons in all professions. The public is invited to attend these health talks on Tuesday evenings at 6.

Elimination dinner

Community dinner
A free community dinner will be held at the Masontown Presbyterian Church on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. The meal is open to the public and everyone is invited to enjoy a nice hot meal and great hospitality.
Card party
The Masontown United Methodist Church will hold its annual calendar party on Sept. 24 at 3 p.m. at the church. Tickets are still available for $7 each. Tickets or information is available by calling 724-583-9446.
Hog roast
A hog Roast will be held on Sept. 24 from noon to 8 p.m. on the parish grounds of Ss. Cyril and Methodius Church in Fairchance.
A D.J. will be available from noon to 3:30 and a live band will be performing from 4 to 8 p.m.
Food, hayrides, games, a Chinese auction, bake sale and much more will be featured. The public is invited.
Chicken dinner
A chicken and biscuit dinner will be held at the Fairchance Free Methodist Church on Oct. 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. Take-out meals will be available.
Wall of Honor
The Albert Gallatin Area School District is renewing its campaign to complete the monument wall section located in front of the football field house. The wall was created in 1998 as a way to honor or memorialize individuals by having their names engraved on one of the marble wall sections. Contact Duane Dupont or Dan Andria for details.
An application form is also available in the Albert Gallatin Senior High office or at the Albert Gallatin Administration office.
Senior nights
The Albert Gallatin High School Band will hold Senior Night on Sept. 29 during the halftime activities at the football game against Ringgold High School.
Football Senior Night will be held pre-game on Oct. 13 when the football team will battle against Mount Pleasant Area Senior High School.
The final home football game for the 2006-2007 season will be held on Oct. 27 against Indiana Area Senior High School. All games begin at 7:30 p.m.
Anniversary celebration
Dottie and Tom Loukota celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on Sept. 8 at a Mass at All Saints Church in Masontown. The Rev. Matthew Brozovic, O.S.M., officiated.
Italian Ladies
The Masontown Italian Ladies Circle will hold an anniversary dinner on Oct.4 beginning at 6 p.m. at Dolfi’s Restaurant.
Members are asked to contact any officer before Sept. 25 to make a reservation and to get menu choices. This is a great time for inactive members to get reacquainted with old friends.
Smithfield U.M. Church
Smithfield United Methodist Church, 20 Church St., Smithfield, will hold an open house weekend on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon.
