Anna Margaret Morris Rehanek

Anna Margaret Morris Rehanek, age 96, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully with her daughter, Kandy, and son-in-law, Ross, at her side on Wednesday, September 13, 2006. She was the daughter of Omer H. and Lizette Bannon Morris.

She graduated from Uniontown High School, Class of 1928.

She was a member of Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, a longtime member of Saint John’s Altar and Rosary Society, The Catholic Daughters of America Court 505, The Confraternity of Christian Mothers, The Jefferson Catholic Club and the Elks Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 65 years, Joseph Rehanek Sr., her son, Joseph Paul Rehanek Jr., sister, Adeline McDowell, and granddaughter, Brandee Bowen, and also a very close friend and sister-in-law, Marie Kavlick.

“Maggie” is survived by her children: son, Robert Rehanek of Uniontown and his children, Shawnee, Todd Rehanek and his wife, Rhonda, and Robin Mills and her husband, Terry; son, Gerald Rehanek and his wife, Joyce, of Uniontown and their children, Kerry Massengill and her husband, Ed, Kathy Downs and Gerald Daniel Rehanek and his wife, Stephanie; daughter, Candace “Kandy” DiMarco and her husband, Dr. Ross DiMarco, M.D., of Upper Saint Clair, Pa., and their children, Dr. Cara Smith and her husband, Dr. Jason Smith, Ross DiMarco III and Dana DiMarco; her daughter-in-law, Lois Rehanek of Dunnellon, Florida, and her son, Drew. Also, “Maggie” is survived by her 14 great-grandchildren; nephew, William McDowell and his wife, Josephine, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and a very dear friend, Betty Gorley of Uniontown.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., this morning (Monday, September 18) until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson Street, with the Rev. Father Michael J. Crookston as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.

Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

The Catholic Daughters of America Court 505 recited the Rosary in the Funeral Home on Sunday at 3 p.m.
