Elizabeth A. “Bette” (Plesh) Elias
Elizabeth A. “Bette” (Plesh) Elias, age 73, of Masontown, Pa., died on Friday, September 15, 2006, in Life Care Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born on February 8, 1933, in Masontown, Pa., the daughter of Thomas Plesh and Helen (Kozelvcar) Plesh.
Her parents, beloved husband, Eli “EEL” Elias (1996) and sisters, Katherine Hanna and Mary Plesh, preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Suzanne Fitzgerald of Natrona Heights, Pa., Mary Beth Robowski and “J. R.” Eli Elias Jr. and his wife, Lori, all of Uniontown, Pa.; four grandchildren: Nicole Fitzgerald, Emily Fitzgerald, Ryan Robowski and Jacob Elias; and a sister, Mildred Stager of Parma Heights, Ohio.
“Bette” was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church, in Leckrone, Pa., past president and member of Saint Mary’s Rosary Society and a member and past Recording Secretary of The Pals Social Citizens Club Auxiliary.
She had been employed with Solomon and Teslovich for many years in bookkeeping. There she met her husband.
“Bette” raised her family with great love and care. She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., A Dignity Memorial Provider, 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., today (Monday, September 18, 2006) until 10:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Saint Mary Roman Catholic Church, Leckrone, with the Rev. Father Donald P. Trexler as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Leckrone, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, 2705 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213 or to Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Saint Mary’s Rosary Society recited the Rosary in the Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m.
The Pals Social Citizens Club Ladies Auxiliary held Services in the Funeral Home on Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m.
