Anne Bogden Rymarchyk, R.N.
Anne Bogden Rymarchyk, R.N., 90, of Blainesburg, Pa., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 18, 2006, with her family at her side. She was born on March 31, 1916 in Yonkers, New York, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Kucerip Bogden.
Anne was a graduate of the Saint Francis School of Nursing Class of 1938 in Pittsburgh, Pa. After graduation she took postgraduate courses in Orthopedics at Duquesne University and worked for Montifore, Children’s and Magee Hospitals before nursing at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. She worked at the Red Cross preparing medical supplies for the War effort in 1941. In 1942 she accepted a position at Brownsville Hospital as head nurse in the Miners Surgical Ward A and remained there for several years. She also nursed at other positions at the Brownsville General Hospital including 10 years as head nurse in the Intensive Care Unit from which she retired in 1981.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Rymarchyk, sister, Helen Bogden Relosky, and brother-in-law, Peter Ritz.
Left to cherish her memories are her beloved children, Bonita (Bonnie) Rymarchyk, Jack Rymarchyk and wife Arlene all of Blainesburg, Pa; three grandchildren Tammy Rymarchyk and fianc?e Dee Brock of Low Hill, Pa., Jonathan Rymarchyk of Blainesburg, Pa. and Jennifer Seese, of Low Hill, Pa.; two great-grandchildren, Aleycia and Trenton Seese; and her beloved sister Mary Lee Ritz of Hiller, Pa.; two special nieces, Karen Whetzel of Hiller, Pa. and Linda Novobilsky of Monessen, Pa; and several great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m., where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Jack E. Hernstrom officiating.
Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park.
