Doris Jackquelyn Evans, 77, of Mount Pleasant, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2006. She is survived by sons, Steven Roy Evans, of Ruffsdale, Eugene Floyd Evans, of Prescott, Ariz., and William Gerald Evans, of Tennessee; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Floyd Forrest of Chesapeake, Va.; and sister, Mrs. Oscar (Hazel M.) Thompson of Portsmouth, Va.

Friends will be received at Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant, today, Sept. 21, 2006, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 22, 2006, until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service.
