Wharton Twp. Man charged
State police charged James R. Cutlip, 32, of Bruceton Mills, W.Va., with simple assault after he allegedly assaulted Scott Castner, 26, of Coatsville during an argument Saturday at the Black Eyed Pea’s concert at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort & Spa in Farmington. The concert was held as part of the 84 Lumber Classic golf tournament.
Police said Cutlip resisted arrest, and during that, Rebecca McDonald, 41, and a 7-year-old boy, both of Morgantown, W.Va., were injured. Cutlip also is charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and harassment.
Springhill Twp.
Man charged
State police charged Brian William Clark, 26, of Smithfield with theft by unlawful taking for allegedly stealing $300 from Carrie Lee Friend’s Smithfield home around 12:30 p.m. Sept. 5, police said.
Menallen Twp.
Garage damaged
State police said the garage door handle at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 91 S. Mill St., was broken off between midnight and 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Dunbar Twp.
Accident reported
State police cited Stuart Stamates, 36, of Dunbar for speeding after he allegedly lost control of his truck on Furnace Hill Road, hit a guardrail and trees. Police said the accident occurred around 6:35 a.m. Sept. 13.
Fairchance
Man charged
State police charged Douglass I. Herrera of Fairchance with harassment after he allegedly kicked Danielle Sue Lewis of Fairchance in the leg and punched her in the arm at a May Street home around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
Georges Twp.
Man charged
State police charged Roy E. Zack of Georges Township with harassment after he allegedly poked a juvenile boy in the chest and shoulder at a Rose Circle home in Strickland Estates around 5:30 p.m. Monday, police said.
