Peter A. Forte, 88, of Bentleyville, Pa., died Saturday, September 16, 2006, in Canonsburg General Hospital. He worked for Bethlehem Mines until his retirement in 1975 and was a member of the U.M.W.A.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre and the Korean War.

Surviving are is wife, Stella Rodzankas Forte of Bentleyville; son, Peter J. Forte of New Kensington, Pa.; daughter, Teresa Carper and husband, Jim of Simi Valley, California; granddaughter; brother, Joseph Forte and wife, Dorothy of Ellsworth, Pa.; sisters: Demenica (May) Carlo of Bentleyville and Theresa Condrich of Cleveland, Ohio; nieces and nephews.

Friends were received on Friday from noon to 9 p.m. in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 619 Main Street, Bentleyville, Pa.
