Man charged

Waynesburg police charged Andrew Lewis Gilblom, 35, of 394 Kiger Hill Road, Mount Morris, with driving under the influence of alcohol, fleeing and eluding police and other related charges after he was stopped on South Washington Street around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Police said a breath test showed that Gilblom had a blood-alcohol content of .211 percent. Drivers in Pennsylvania are considered legally intoxicated once their blood-alcohol level reaches .08 percent. Police said they tried to stop Gilblom earlier, but they alleged he drove a short distance before pulling over.

Card stolen

State police at Waynesburg said that Linda Shultz, 57, of Waynesburg reported her debit card stolen from Bobtown Elementary School between Aug. 18 and Sept. 8. The card was used to make $866 in unauthorized purchases, police said.

Accident reported

State police at Waynesburg said Rachel Barkley, 28, of Morgantown, W.Va., was uninjured when she fell asleep at the wheel and hit a guardrail along Interstate 79 around 10:40 p.m. Sunday.

State police at Waynesburg said that Augusta Dietz of Waynesburg reported that her a bicycle was stolen from the back yard of her Jennings Avenue home between Tuesday evening and early Wednesday morning.

State police at Greensburg are investigating the theft of several metal barrels from Atwater Steel Trading Corp. at its Bridgewater Street place of business on Tuesday.

Brownsville police said Pam Frasard of Brownsville received harassing phone calls from a man she has a protection-from-abuse order against at her North Union Street home at 6:13 p.m. Monday.

Jewelry stolen

Rosita F. Nega of Belle Vernon told Southwest Regional police that someone broke into her 10 Graham Ave. residence and stole several pieces of jewelry between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesday, police said.

Property vandalized

Southwest Regional police said someone vandalized the CSX Tax Bureau office at 212 State St. in Belle Vernon between Sept. 15 and Sept. 18. Police said the front door window of the office was shot with a pellet gun and that a severed head of a mourning dove was placed on the steps leading to the door. Graffiti was also painted on the rear basement door, police said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Southwest Regional Police Department at 724-929-8484.

Light pulled

Southwest Regional police said someone pulled a light out from an exterior wall at First Christian Church, at 320 Main St., between noon Sept. 14 and 11:16 a.m. Sept. 12.

Underage drinking

Charles Belch IV, 20, of McClellandtown was cited for underage drinking after state police determined that he and the operator of a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation at 4:30 a.m. Saturday were under the influence of alcohol.

Belch was inside the vehicle when it was stopped on Route 119 near Morgantown Road, noted police. Police said the driver of the vehicle, who was not identified, was cited for DUI.

Two-vehicle crash

A two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Route 166 and State Route 3013 around 4 p.m. Thursday when vehicles driven by Britney Pechatsko of Uniontown and Rose Barak of Allison struck after the driver of one car failed to see a stop sign, according to state police in Uniontown.

Pechatsko nor a juvenile passenger in her 1997 Nissan Altima were injured, while it was unknown whether Barak, who drove a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier, was injured. Passenger in Barak’s vehicle, Margaret Hughes of Cardale, was not injured in the crash, noted police.

Both vehicles sustained major front-end damage, noted police.

Connellsville Twp.

Man jailed

Eric Daniel Barnhart, 21, of Connellsville was remanded to the Fayette County Prison after he allegedly slapped Erica Dawn Barnhart, 23, of Connellsville in the face during an altercation at a Casparis Road location on Sept. 17, according to state police in Uniontown.

Eric Barnhart was arrested for simple assault and harassment as a result of the alleged attack that police said resulted in injuries. Barnhart was lodged in prison after failing to post bond, police added.

Identity theft

Someone called the credit card company of Smithfield resident Mark Bennett, changed the address of the cardholder, and then purchased a camera online and had it shipped to somewhere in Tennessee on Sept. 16, said state police in Uniontown. The investigation continues, police said.

Chrome wheels stolen

State police reported four 20-inch chrome wheels were stolen from a GMC Yukon Denali XL parked against a guardrail next to Route 119 northbound in a lot at Brooks Automotive.

The reported theft happened sometime between 8 p.m. Thursday and 7:20 a.m. Friday, said police. The wheels have GMC in the center, possibly printed in red, and are mounted on Goodyear Eagle LS tires. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Dale Brown at 724-439-7111.

Two cited

Both Jennifer Weimer, 20, of Adah and Paul Riggleman, 22, of Smock were cited with harassment after they allegedly got into a verbal and minor physical altercation at Harris Garden Apartments at 1:55 a.m. Friday, said state police in Uniontown.

A Masontown woman was accused of stealing $40 worth of lunchmeat from Brodak’s Shop ‘n Save on Wednesday, said state police in Uniontown.

Two charged

In two separate incidents, state police in Belle Vernon filed charges of criminal trespass against Chris Michaux, 47, of Brownsville and Richard Simmons, 37, of McClellandtown after they allegedly appeared at Hunter’s Ridge apartments on Friday. Charges were filed at Magisterial District Judge Michael J. Defino Jr.’s office, police said.

Burglary reported

Kevin Ray McIntyre, 56, of Point Marion told state police Friday that his 5019 Morgantown Road home was burglarized and a Sun kerosene heater, an unknown make drill and jigsaw and a 32-inch Sanyo television were stolen. Total value of the items was $350.

Man charged

Douglas Albert Scott, 50, of Uniontown was charged in district court for scattering rubbish on the 356 Burgess Field Road property of George Robert Fayock, 62, of Uniontown. The alleged incident occurred at 9 a.m. Thursday, according to state police in Uniontown.

Hit-and-run crash

An unknown vehicle struck a 1989 Buick LeSabre parked at the Colonial Inn and then fled the scene at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 12, said state police in Uniontown. Witnesses to the crash are asked to call police.

DUI charge

State police in Greensburg arrested and charged Robert A. Rollinson, 23, of Scottdale with driving under the influence of alcohol at Route 981 at Charles Houck Road at 1:50 a.m. Sept. 9.
