Price-Palya
United in marriage on July 8 were Katie Palya and Joe Price, both of Uniontown. The Rev. Ken Zaccagnini officiated the nuptial Mass at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.
The bride is the daughter of Bill and Weezer Palya of Virginia Avenue, Uniontown. The bridegroom is the son of Merwyn and Linda Price of Summit View, Uniontown.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a white Alencon lace sheath gown with a V-neckline and back adorned with a matching chapel-length train. A fingertip-length veil of illusion was adorned with pearls and crystals.
Maid of honor was Kelly Palya, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Rosemary Palya, cousin of the bride; Jamie Addis, sister of the bridegroom; Alison Price, sister-in-law of the bridegroom; and Athena Levan.
Jeff Price was best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Adam Palya, brother of the bride; James Addis, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; Wes Edwards, cousin of the bridegroom, and Eric Fronczek.
A reception was held at the Hopwood Social Hall. For their honeymoon, the couple went on a Caribbean cruise.
The bride graduated in 2001 from Uniontown Area High School and in 2005 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is a teacher with the Uniontown Area School District.
The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Laurel Highlands High school and a 2004 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is a financial consultant with National City Bank.
The couple resides on Morgantown Road, Uniontown.
