John Earl Ryan
John Earl Ryan, age 80, of Dunbar, Pennsylvania, died Friday, September 22, 2006, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 25, 1926, in Dunbar, Pennsylvania, the Son of James Aloysius Ryan and Beatrice McVey Ryan.
John was a member of Franklin Memorial United Methodist Church, Dunbar.
He graduated from the now former Dunbar Township High School in 1944.
John retired from Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation’s Cap Plant 15, South Connellsville, Pennsylvania, as a die setter with 32 years of service.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army who served in World War II and a member of the American Legion Post 146 in Dunbar and The Independent Slovak Club, Connellsville.
John was preceded in death by a his Parents, a Brother, James T. McVey, and Sisters, Violet Nelis and Edith Moore.
Surviving are his Wife of 41 years, Lois Seaton Ryan; two Sons: John Kevin Ryan, Dunbar, and his special friend, Melanie, Latrobe, Pa., and David Kirby Ryan and his wife Jessica, Connellsville, Pa.; Grandchildren: Stuart Ohler, Jessica Ohler, Kelsey Ryan, Kasey Ryan and Arabella Ryan; Sister, Mary D. Ryan, Dunbar; Brother-in-law, James H. Seaton, Connellsville, Pa.; Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces and Great-Nephews.
Friends will be received in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pennsylvania, today, September 25, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 26, until 2 p.m., the hour of Service with the Rev. Jeffrey Popson officiating.
Interment will follow in Franklin Cemetery where Military Rites and Honors will be accorded.
Visitation was also held Sunday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.
