Julia G. (Gorcheck) Latsnic
Julia G. (Gorcheck) Latsnic, age 95, of Nemacolin, Pa., died at 1:45 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2006, in Lasosky’s Personal Care Home, Clarksville, Pa. She was born February 2, 1911, in Miller Farm, Fayette County, Pa., the daughter of Steve and Julia Gorcheck.
Mrs. Latsnic resided in Nemacolin for the past 73 years where she was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Roman Catholic Church.
She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, sewing, flower gardening and the company of her family.
Her husband, Steve E. Latsnic, died September 28, 1984.
Also deceased are a son, Frank Latsnic, a daughter, Elsie Latsnic Horvat, three brothers, Steve Gorcheck, Frank Gorcheck and George Gorcheck, a sister, Antonette Gorcheck Steiner, and her parents.
Surviving are a son, John W. Latsnic and his wife, Mary, of Canonsburg, Pa.; three daughters: Dolly Kuzlinski and her husband, Stanley, of Rices Landing, Pa., Dolores Rumancik and her husband, Joseph, of North Canton, Ohio, and Shirley Morris of Meadville, Pa.; 13 grandchildren: John Horvat Jr., Susan Horvat Miciolek, Maureen Neglescu, Cheryl Sparino, Edward Latsnic, Linda Wright, Louann Cruz, Rudy Juracko, David Rumancik, Mark Rumancik, Chad Rumancik, Michelle Morris and Jason Morris; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcomed from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday in the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa., where a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at 9:30 a.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Consolation Roman Catholic Church, Nemacolin, with the Rev. Father John M. Bauer as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park.
A Vigil Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
