Herschel P. “Hank” Vorhes, 69, of Waynesburg, died Monday, September 25, 2006, in Southwest Regional Mediacal Center, Waynesburg. Mr. Vorhes was a graduate of Washington High School and served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked at the Washington Crowne Center as the maintenance supervisor and in security for the mall.

Surviving are five children: Kevin Vorhes of Dallas, W.Va., Frank Vorhes of Aleppo, twins, Denise Ewing of Washington and Dennis Vorhes of Bentleyville, and Tina Beck of West Alexander; four stepchildren: Melody D’ Alessandro of Waynesburg, Julie Lantz of Carmichaels, Kelli Barry and her husband, Barry of Pueblo West, Col., and Dana Smith of Waynesburg; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a friend that was like a brother.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday in the Behm Funeral Homes, Inc., 182 West High Street, Waynesburg, where services will be held on Thursday, September 28, at 11 a.m.
