Rita M. Onifer Kennedy
Rita M. Onifer Kennedy, age 61, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, September 22, 2006, at home. She was born July 30, 1945, in Leckrone, Pa., the daughter of Michael Onifer and Margaret Yonish Onifer.
Rita was a member of Saint John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George B. Kennedy Sr. on June 14, 2006, her son, George B. Kennedy Jr., brothers, Aloysius Onifer, Tommy Onifer and Eugene Onifer, and her sister, Mary Ann Onifer Martarazzo.
Rita is survived by her loving children: Donna E. Norman of Florida, Rhonda K. Sanders and her husband, Terry, of Uniontown, Pa., Michael E. Kennedy and his wife, Crystal, of Utah, Tracy R. Rockwell and her husband, Lloyd, of Uniontown, Pa., and Christopher S. Kennedy of Utah; grandchildren: David Ciampanelli, Michael Ciampanelli, Matthew Ciampanelli, Kevin Sanders, Tyler Sanders, Michael Straub, Deanna Snook, Trey Kennedy, Ryan Kennedy, Alexandrea Kennedy, Jessica Rockwell, Max Rockwell; and a great-grandchild, Jordan Snook. She is also survived by her brother, William Onifer of Leckrone, Pa; nieces and nephews; a life-long friend, Larry Fields of Uniontown, Pa.; and special friends: Betty Saunders and Roberta Sanders.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME AT 71 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, UNIONTOWN, Pa., this morning (Tuesday, September 26) until 10 a.m., when a Blessing Service will be held with the Rev. Father Michael J. Crookston officiating. Apostle Alfred L. Thompson and Pastor Marian Long will also assist with the Service.
Interment will follow in Mount Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
