Edward Henry Robinson, 79, of Dilliner (Taylortown), Pa., died Monday, September 25, 2006, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. He was born May 28, 1927, in Saint Genevieve, Missouri, the son of the late Elmer Bryan and Pearl May Culp Robinson.

A veteran of the United States Air Force, he retired after 21 years, having served in World War II, and the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts. For many years, he managed the 9 to 9 Store in Dilliner, and, for a while, he and his wife owned Brenda’s Spaghetti and Pizza Shop, also in Dilliner.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Exline Robinson; six children and their spouses, Sharon Riggleman Anderson and Danny of Galax, Virginia, Sherman and Amy Riggleman and David and Sandy Riggleman, all of Dilliner, Kim Riggleman Gifford and Randy of Taylortown, Deborah Riggleman Brotherton and David, and Scott and Sandy Riggleman, all of Maidsville, West Virginia; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Robinson of Heber Springs, Arkansas; two sisters, Glady Beatty of Orlando, Florida and Bertha M. Davidson of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; and two half-sisters, Linda Atwell of Chesterfield, Missouri and Shirley Brant of Charleston, Missouri.

Predeceased is a brother, Elmer B. “Bud” Robinson, Jr. and a sister, Thelma L. Julian.

Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday until Noon, the hour of service, with the Rev. Danny Anderson officiating.

Interment follows in Fairview Cemetery, Taylortown, with military rites accorded at the graveside by the V.F.W Post 747 and the American Legion, Post 499, both of Point Marion.
