Anne (Barto) Shotts
Anne (Barto) Shotts, 84, of Masontown, Pa., died on Thursday, September 28, 2006, in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born on October 3, 1921, in Messmore, Pa., daughter of Julius and Mary “Hetes” Barto.
The last member of her immediate family, her parents, husband, Carl W. Shotts, Sr., a brother, James Barto, sisters, Helen Kish, Mary Zack, Rose Fichter, and daughter-in-law, Gloria Shotts, preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Carl W. Shotts, Jr. of Masontown, Pa., Marilyn Gamon and husband, Jerry of Hubbard, Ohio, James David Shotts and her daughter-in-law, Tammy both of Virginia Beach, Va.; five grandchildren: Carl W. Shotts III, her special “hero”, devoted to her care and every need; her granddaughter, Kimberly Shotts who was her “sunshine”; and loving grandchildren: Lisa Madison and husband, James of Hopwood, Pa., Casey Shotts and Kaitlin Shotts both of Virginia Beach, Va.; her great-grandson, Nicholas J. Madison; and her sister-in-law, Helen Barto of Masontown, Pa.
Anne was a member of Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church and was a wonderful homemaker and excellent baker and cook. She loved her flowers and tending her garden.
Friends will be received in the HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 515 North Main Street, Masontown, Pa., A Dignity Memorial Provider, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Saturday, September 30, 2006, until 10 a.m., when a Blessing Service will be held.
The Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m., in Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Bernard Carl officiating.
Interment will be held in Jacob’s Lutheran Cemetery, R.D. 1, Masontown, Pa.
