Mary (Patchan) Volcheck, 99, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Thursday September 28, 2006, in the Southmont Presbyterian Senior Care Center, Washington, Pa. She was born on December 25, 1907, in Lemont Furnace, Pa., daughter of Matthew and Elizabeth Patchan.

Her parents, husband, Andrew Volcheck, a son, Robert A. Volcheck, a daughter-in-law, Willa Volcheck, three brothers, Albert, Matthew and Joseph Patchan, and two sisters, Elizabeth Livingston and Wilma Popp, preceded her in death.

Mary was a member of Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, and former member of the Rosary Society.

She had been the former owner of Roberts Tavern.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Theodore Volcheck and wife, Marie of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Gerald Volcheck and wife, Dorothy of Norwalk, Ohio; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Hozenic and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., A Dignity Memorial Provider, on Saturday morning, September 30, 2006, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., when a Panachida Service will be held. A Divine Liturgy will follow at 11 a.m., in Saint John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church with Rev. Father Thomas J. Wesdock as Celebrant.

Interment will be held in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
