Allen Stewart Grandey Sr., age 91, of Uniontown, Pa., died on Friday, March 30, 2007, in Quality Health Care Center, North Port, Florida. He was born on November 30, 1915, in Swissvale, Pa., the son of Robert Ralston Grandey and Anna (McColly) Grandey.

Allen was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47, American Legion Post 51, and the B. P.O. Elks 370 all in Uniontown.

During World War II, he proudly served his country with the United States Navy.

Allen retired from the now former Rockwell International Manufacturing Plant in Uniontown after 441/2 years where he had been the Plant Manager for many years.

The last member of his immediate family, Allen was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Left to cherish his memory are: his wife of 65 years, Virginia (Loar) Grandey; their children: Allen “Skip” Grandey and his wife, Bobbe, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Richard Loar Grandey and his wife, Mary, of Madison, Alabama, and Lynn Rose Luczki and her husband, Steve, of Vanderbilt, Pa.; five grandchildren: Kristen Satariano, Douglas Grandey, Jonathan Grandey, Jennifer Mitchell, and Kate Beaty; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 North Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pa., on Wednesday, April 4, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Funeral Service arrangements will be announced.
