James W. Wiedeman
James W. Wiedeman, age 77, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., and formerly of Mill Run, Pa., died Thursday, March 29, 2007, in Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, Pa. He was born April 10, 1929, in Scottdale, Pa., the son of James S. Wiedeman and Stella M. (Snedden) Wiedeman Fox.
Mr. Wiedeman was a self-employed businessman and machinist. He had worked at the former Westinghouse Plant in Youngwood in his early years.
He graduated from the former Dunbar Township High School, class of 1947, and was a veteran of the United States Army who served from 1947 to 1950.
He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife, Arlene Jones Wiedeman, a son-in-law, Ben Husband III, and a sister, Florence Lint.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Kaufman York Wiedeman; one son, Charles W. Wiedeman of Connellsville, Pa.; four daughters: Brenda Husband and her companion, Kenneth “Dink” Dumbauld, of Dickerson Run, Pa., Linda Richter and her husband, Keith, of Clinton, Pa., Cheryl Firestone and her husband, Dennis, of Normalville, Pa., and Judy Pirl of Mill Run, Pa.; 11 grandchildren: Brent, Bethany and Ben IV Husband, Rachel Lint and her husband, John, Laura Richter, Kristopher and Brandon Firestone, Ryan Firestone and his wife, Stacie, Rick and Teresa Cossell and Chad Pirl and his fianc?e, Tosha Ohler; five great-grandchildren: Andrew and Haley Cossell, Christine and Ava Wiedeman and Matthew Firestone; and two sisters: Dorothy Greer of Wilmington, Delaware, and Jesse Dean of Connellsville, Pa.
Friends were received from 2 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, Pa., and will be received today (Sunday, April 1) until 1 p.m. when Funeral Services will be held with the Rev. Joseph Wingrove Jr. officiating.
Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville, Pa.
