Edward Lewis Kovach III, age 22 years, of Uniontown, Pa., died Saturday, March 31, 2007. He was born December 25, 1984, in Uniontown, Pa.

Preceding him in death was his maternal grandfather, Earl E. Whetsel Sr.

Edward was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and formerly played basketball with the Fayette County Church League.

He graduated from Uniontown Area Senior High School Class of 2003 and had been employed by Best For Less Gas and Oil, Route 40 Exxon, Route 21 Exxon and the Squeeze and Go.

Surviving are his parents, Edward Lewis Kovach Jr. and Nancy Whetsel Kovach of Uniontown, Pa.; his paternal grandfather, Edward Lewis Kovach Sr. of Hopwood, Pa.; his paternal grandmother, Maryann Kovach of Uniontown; his maternal grandmother, Lillian M. Shaffer Whetsel of Uniontown; a sister, Eileen Marie Hebda and her husband, Frank, of Uniontown; two brothers: Scott Eugene Jenkins and his friend, Pauline O’Wade, of Connellsville, Pa., and Jeremy Lee Jenkins of Uniontown; his very special friend, Melissa Sampey of Uniontown; also nieces and nephew: Christina Hebda, Brandon Hebda and Julia; and uncles and aunts: Earl Whetsel of Uniontown, Ronald Whetsel of Amsterdam, Holland, Pam Conn and her husband, Scott of Uniontown, Tammy Yeager and her husband, Rev. Roger Yeager of Fairchance and Amy and Michael of Uniontown.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, April 4, until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with the Rev. Roger Howard officiating.

Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery, Farmington, Pa.
