Carol “Tink” Cain Salzman

Carol “Tink” Cain Salzman, passed away on April 5, 2007, after a lingering illness while visiting her son in Austin, Texas. She was born July 21, 1956, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Carol Cain of Connellsville and the late William Cain.

She was a resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia for the last 30 years. She was employed by Kroger Company. She was an avid reader and volunteer within her local school district.

She is predeceased by her sister, Emma Cain of Dunbar.

She is survived by her son, Eric and Patti Salzman of Austin, Texas; daughters, Dana and Melissa Salzman of Virginia Beach, Virginia; grandchildren, Destiny and Joesph Jackson of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her sisters, Joyce Gales and friend Dan Carnack of Connellsville, Marie Woof of Mill Run; her brothers, Pat and Audrey Cain of Normalville and Tim Cain of Acme; a brother-in-law, John Hardy of Dunbar; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Mill Run United Methodist Church with Pastor Thomas Bonomo officiating.

Tink has donated her body for medical research. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Scleraderma Foundation.
