Raymond H. Brinkman
Raymond H. Brinkman, 73, of Fayette City Pa., a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, died Monday, April 9, 2007, in the Mon Valley Hospital Inc. He was born January 4, 1934, in Norwich Conn., son of the late Louis H. and Anna Brinkman.
Ray was retired from Hill’s Department Store as a Vice President. He was a United States Marine Corp veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Charleroi Elks and a member in good standing of the Rickers Coffee Shop.
Ray will be sadly missed but joyfully remembered.
Surviving are his wife, Kay Astle Brinkman; and five daughters: Jane Lee and husband, Wayne of Fayette City, Deb Brinkman of Va., Robin White of Austin, Texas, Terry Simboli and husband, Denny of Belle Vernon, and Kristine Dean and fianc?, Todd Clay of Fayette City; three sons: John Brinkman and wife, Carlisle of San Jose, Calif., Rick Brinkman and wife, Amy of Wash., and Mark Kovacs and wife, Julie of Uniontown; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Henry Brinkman of Ariz., and Teddy Levesque of Conn., Carol Burdicks.
Ray’s daughter Joann Brinkman passed away on Monday, April 9, 2007, in Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John (Gibby) Brinkman, four sisters, Alice Levesque, Loretta Suplita, Dorothy Handleman, and Kathy Levesque.
Friends will be received in the ELEY/MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 334 Main Street, Fayette City, Pa., on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Thursday, April 12, 2007, until 11 a.m., the hour of the service with Rev. Robert Moffatt officiating.
Interment will follow in the Little Redstone Methodist Cemetery, Fayette City, Pa.
