Uniontown Dennis new program director

Renee Dennis recently joined Laurel Business Institute (LBI) of Uniontown as the program director for the school’s respiratory therapy program.

Dennis brings eight years of experience as a respiratory therapist in Pittsburgh area hospitals. She worked primarily in the neonatal intensive care units at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and West Penn Hospital. She was also part of West Penn’s neonatal transport team, a job that involved transporting, via helicopter, premature infants who were unstable and needed specialized medical care.

Dennis earned her associate’s degree in health sciences from Allegany College (Maryland) and her bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy from LaRoche College. She graduated with honors from both programs. She also is a registered respiratory therapist.

LBI provides career and professional education with specialized associate degree and diploma programs as well as professional certifications for a variety of industries. LBI supplements these educational services with initiatives like the high school honors program, more than $100,000 in annual scholarships, ACT 48 and short courses for continuing professional education, career fairs, and contract training for employers.
