Randall S. Herbert
Randall S. Herbert, age 58, of Vanderbilt, Pa., died Friday, April 13, 2007, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Pleasant Hills, Pa. He was born in Vanderbilt, Pa., on December 8, 1948, the son of Harry Raymond Herbert and Barbara Horwatt Herbert.
Randall was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Connellsville, Pa., and the First Covenant Baptist Church in Uniontown, Pa.
He graduated from California University of Pennsylvania.
He had served with the National Guard for six years and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Dunbar, Pa., and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 21.
He was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare.
Surviving are his wife, Lorraine Abraham Herbert; a son, Randall Herbert Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Vanderbilt, Pa.; a daughter, Rebecca Moffatt and her husband, William, of Belle Vernon, Pa.; three grandchildren: Aminah Herbert, Lillian Herbert and Caroline Herbert; two sisters: Beverly Fazio and her husband, Frank, of Indiana, Pa., and Sarah Porter and her husband, David, of Scottdale, Pa.; and a brother, Dennis Herbert and his wife, Donna, of California state.
Friends will be received in the RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, Railroad Street, Dawson, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, April 17, until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Cox.
Interment will follow in Dickerson Run Cemetery, where Military Rites will be accorded at graveside by the Emory Lewis Pratt American Legion Post 586 of Vanderbilt, Pa.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
