Williard Wolfe

Williard Wolfe, 94 of Greensboro (Cabbage Flats), Pa., died at 5:05 a.m., on Monday, April 16, 2007, in his home. He was born January 31, 1913, in Washington County, Pa., a son of the late Frank and Martha (Sweeney) Wolfe. Mr. Wolfe was a 1934 graduate of Mapletown High School and resided in the Greensboro area most of his life. He retired in 1977 from the Duquesne Light Warwick Mine and was a member of the Mapletown United Methodist Church, Valley Lodge No. 459, F. & A. M., Masontown, Pa., the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection and U.M.W.A. Duquesne Light Local 6310. Mr. Wolfe enjoyed gardening and bowling and was a handyman around his home. On September 8, 1940, he married Pauline L. Hornbeck, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Lois J. Wilson and her husband, Charles of Greensboro; two grandchildren: Jeffrey S. Wilson and his wife, Jessica of Burgettstown, Pa., and Amy R. Krause of Hopwood, Pa.; five great-grandchildren: Ashley Krause, Kane Wilson, Katelyn Wilson, Chase Wilson and Krista Wilson, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcomed from 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 9 p.m., on Wednesday in the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME (724-966-5500), Martin J. Yoskovich, Funeral Director, 300 South Vine Street (Route 88), Carmichaels, Pa., where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, April 19, 2007, with Pastor Erwin “Woody” Wilson officiating.

Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa., Valley Lodge No. 459, F. & A. M. will conduct Masonic Services at 6:30 p.m., on Wednesday in the funeral home.
