Woman missing

Wharton Township police are searching for a 41-year-old Farmington woman who has been missing since March 31.

Officer Dave Hromada said Susan George of 214 Burke Road went missing from her home late last month but was not initially reported missing by family members who expected her to return.

Hromada said George is described as a white woman, about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds. She has short, black hair and brown eyes.

Hromada said George was last seen wearing black dress pants and a black shirt with flowers on it.

Anyone with information regarding George’s whereabouts is asked to call Wharton police at 724-329-8503.

Stacey Pitts of Uniontown told police that several articles of clothing and other items were stolen from her residence on Millview Street at 10:19 p.m. Tuesday, Uniontown police said.

Harold Nicholson, 47, of Uniontown was charged with violating a protection-from-abuse order when he visited Amy Jordan, also of Uniontown, at a home on Highland Avenue at 5:42 p.m. Monday, Uniontown police said.

California police said six people were cited for underage drinking at Jefferson Apartments at 2:11 a.m. Sunday, The following people were cited: Amy Lynne Pyle, 18, of Jeannette; Hillary M. Godula, 20; Michael P. Levendusky, 20; Greg A Lilja, 20; Sammy Jo Avvampato, 20, all of Greensburg; and Joshua Ryan Weaver, 20, of Carnegie. Police noted that additional citations are pending.

Uniontown police said a bank card owned by Peggy Britt of Uniontown was stolen and then used at an automated teller machine at 12:17 p.m. Monday.

Luzerne Township police Chief Roy Mehalik said the police department patrolled more than 1,200 miles during March, issuing four citations and making two arrests. Mehalik said the department investigated one theft of an automobile, one burglary, three domestic disputes and three reported thefts during the month.

State police said charges are pending against a 39-year-old Filbert man after police discovered drug paraphernalia in his possession during a traffic stop April 10 on Route 40.

Robert Seighman of Brier Hill told state police that someone was prowling at his home on Royal Road in Redstone Township Tuesday.

Window broken

State police said vandals broke a window on a vehicle owned by Traci Rush of Brownsville while it was parked on Spring Street at 10:30 p.m. Monday.

Attempted robbery

State police are looking for two men who attempted to rob the Citgo convenience store at the intersection of Route 40 and Route 166 Wednesday.

Police said two black males entered the store at 4:55 a.m. and demanded money from an unidentified female employee. According to police, one of the men brandished a handgun while the other man attempted to go behind the counter and retrieve money.

Police said the employee refused to give the men money and chased them out of the store. The man with the gun fired back toward the employee and hit the store’s door, breaking it.

The men then fled the scene in a four-door vehicle and were last seen traveling south on Route 166.
