Esther Rhea Moredock Keefer
Esther Rhea (Moredock) Keefer, age 75, of Masontown, Pa., passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2007, at home. She was born October 29, 1931, in Jefferson, Pa.
Esther was a cook and waitress for many years at the now former Rossini’s Restaurant on Main Street in Uniontown, Pa.
She enjoyed her walks around town, playing her lottery numbers with her sister Dorothy and going to yard sales, but her greatest joy was her family!
Everyone she came in contact with became her friend. She will be sadly missed by all those who loved her.
Esther was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Keefer, her parents, Charles Moredock and Weatha (Davis) Moredock, and her niece, Pamela Sue McLaughlin.
Surviving are her sisters: Alice Mae “Bunny” Kridle and her husband, Edward, and Dorothy McLaughlin and her husband, Frank, all of Masontown, Pa., and Helen Natale and her husband, Tony, of Mentor, Ohio.
In addition to her sisters, she is also survived by the following nephews and nieces: Bill Kridle and his wife, Betty, of Martin, Pa., Kim Johnston and her husband, Scott, of Masontown, Pa., Bill McLaughlin and his wife, Debbie, of Morgantown, West Virginia, Michael McLaughlin and his wife, Carol, and Frank McLaughlin and his wife, Leslie, all of Masontown, Pa., Greg Natale and his wife, Petra, of Leavenworth, Kansas, Terry Natale of Judson, Ohio, and Tina Natale of Mentor, Ohio; great-nephews and great-nieces: Billy Kridle, Sarah (Johnston) McVay, Scotty Johnston, Rachel McLaughlin, Samantha McLaughlin, Sabrina Natale, Robert Natale and James Natale.
She will be deeply missed by the following special, special great-great-nieces: Ariel McVay, Tiffany McVay and Ashlynn McVay.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Fayette Home Care & Hospice and Scott Johnston for taking such wonderful care of Aunt Esther in her final days.
Friends will be received at the BERNARD M. TOWNSEND FUNERAL HOME, 220 South Main Street, Masontown, Pa., on Monday, April 23, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m.
A Graveside Service will be held at the Jefferson Cemetery in Jefferson, Pa., with Pastor Stephen S. Cole officiating on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 (time will be announced).
