Betty Lou Geelen
Betty Lou Geelen, 67, of Fairchance, Pa., passed away peacefully at her home with loving family by her side on April 23, 2007. She was born on October 11, 1939, in Fairchance, Pa.,
She is predeceased by her mother, Pearl T. Jordan, her father, Claude P. “Buck” Jordan, infant brother, Robert Lee Jordan, nephew, Sonny Ray Jordan, great-niece, Shauna Arlene Patterson.
Betty is survived by five children: Theodore J. Geelen, Jr., and girlfriend, Diana Rabon, Smithfield, Pa., David W. Geelen and fianc?, Ruth Roby, Fairchance, Pa., Christina J. Wilson and fianc?, Paul Hartman, Haydentown, Pa., Tracey L. Geelen, Fairchance, Pa. and Jennifer L. Geelen and boyfriend, David Miller, Hiller, Pa.; grandchildren: Amanda Rabon, Kevin Wilson, Shayla Wilson, Christi Geelen, Joey Geelen and fianc?, Randi Young, David Skiles, Tiffany Havens, Emily Libertino, Davey Miller and Jordan Miller; great-grandchildren: Dylan Rabon, Caleb Geelen and Christian Denney; brothers: Claude Jordan and wife, Arlene, Smithfield, Pa., and Arley “Sonny” Jordan and wife, Patty, Fairchance, Pa.; numerous nieces and nephews, former husband, and friend, Theodore J. Geelen and special companion, Joseph Dodson.
Betty enjoyed spending time bowling with friends on the Rainbow League at Manor Lanes, bingo, gardening, and flowers, but most of all, she loved being with her children and grandchildren and attending family gatherings. She was a devoted loving mother and grandmother that will be greatly missed, and a friend that will never be forgotten.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday, April 27, 2007, until 10 a.m., the hour of Service with Pastor Mark Kephart officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Masontown, Pa.
