MEET THE CANDIDATES gathering will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at the North Union VFW Post 8543, West Penn Boulevard, Uniontown. Candidates running for Fayette County Courthouse positions will be available. The meeting is open to veterans only. MASONTOWN VFW POST 4584 will hold a spring dance Saturday from 7 p.m. to midnight. HYADENTOWN COMMUNITY CENTER will hold a square dance with Dave Dahl at 7 p.m. Friday and every fourth Friday of the month. For more information, call 724-564-2116.

FORT BURD UNITED PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 200 Thornton Road, Brownsville, will hold a rummage sale on May 2 and 3. There will also be a ham barbecue sandwich and bake sale. It is sponsored by the Presbyterian Women.

CVONNELLSVILLE BUSIENSS AND PROFESSIONAL WOMEN’S CLUB will meet May 7 at Nancy’s Fancy Tea Room, 428 N. Pittsburgh St., Connellsville, at 5:30 p.m. for networking and inner, business meeting and program to begin at 6. Program will honor the Girls of the Year from Connellsville Area Senior High School and Geibel Catholic High School. Members, prospective members and anyone interested are invited to attend.
