William T. Mullen
William T. Mullen, 89, of Belle Vernon, Pa., (Washington Township), died Friday, April 27, 2007, at 1:20 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born December 15, 1917, in Fairhope, Pa., he was the son of the late William Henry and Minnie (Vitulla) Mullen.
A resident of Washington Township, Mr. Mullen was a member of Marion Presbyterian Church of Fairhope, a retired millwright from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Monessen Plant and was a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659, was an avid golfer and member of the Saint Mary’s and Knights of Columbus golf leagues.
He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, William J. and Janet Mullen of Georgia, Raymond Mullen of Bridgeport, Ohio; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Michele & Carl Cathers of Smithton, Desiree and Ted Wells of Fayette City, Felicia and David Kurilko of California, Celeste and Ted, Jr., Wulovich of Fallowfield Township, Vanessa O’Toole of Belle Vernon; brother, James Mullen of Belle Vernon, three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Norma Dolores and Todd Stoessner of Clearwater, Florida, Theda Neidzwicki of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Marilyn and Ernest Legg of Belle Vernon; 16 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Bonnell Mullen, a brother, Edward Mullen and a great-granddaughter, Athena Anielewski.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family owned and operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, Pa., (724-929-6183).
Services will be held on Monday in the Funeral Home at 10 a.m. with Pastor Robert C. Prinkey of Marion Presbyterian Church of Fairhope officiating.
Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
