The Brownsville Rotary Club has honored Jordan Clark Sealy of Brownsville, a senior at Brownsville Area High School, as a student of the month for October 2006. The son of Clark and Tami Sealy of Brownsville, he plans on attending post secondary school majoring in nursing. Sealy is a volunteer firefighter for Brownsville Fire Co. #1, an Emergency Medical Technician and a dispatcher for Brownsville Ambulance Service and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Brownsville. He is a part-time employee for the ambulance service and Standard Auto Supply.

Sealy is involved in the following extracurricular activities at Brownsville Area High School: captain of the soccer team, senior cabinet, student council, chorus, chamber choir, thespian society, musical cast, lighting and sound crew and the Redstone Living Historians.

For his senior project, Sealy was awarded a $15,000 FEMA grant for the development of a fire safety education program. He and “Sparky the fire dog” have traveled to area elementary schools and pre-schools, promoting the importance of home safety to children.
