John Joseph Cindric
John Joseph Cindric, age 87, of Upper Oliver Number 3, Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, April 28, 2007, in the Saint Anne Home, Greensburg, Pa. He was born May 7, 1919, in Greensburg, Pa., the son of Joseph Cindric and Dora Pulig Morgan Cindric.
John was a member of Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church.
He was a United States veteran who served in the Army during World War II.
John worked for several years at the former Cohen’s Furniture Store on Beeson Boulevard in Uniontown and also at the Fayette County Courthouse where he served as the Supervisor of Maintenance.
He was also a Building Inspector for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
John was a former member of the North Union High School Board and later a member of the Laurel Highlands School Board.
He delighted many that knew him with his various card and coin tricks.
John was very active in playing baseball and basketball and was well known as a sports official.
He was preceded in death by his parents, by his beloved wife, Sophie Marie Bodziony Cindric on February 15, 2005, brothers, Frank Morgan and Mike Morgan, and sisters, Ann Morgan and Mary Morgan.
He is survived by his loving and devoted son, Rev. John R. Cindric of Greensburg, Pa.; several loving nieces and nephews; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, from 2 to 4 p.m. (NOTE: There will be no evening viewing Tuesday), on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, May 3, 2007, until 10:30 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 11 a.m. in Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown.
Interment will follow in Mount Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, where Military Honors will be accorded at graveside by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 47 of Uniontown.

Saint Joseph Parish Family Vigil Service by The Ministries of Consolation will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at 3 p.m.
