Evangelist Alice L. Lowry Sage
Evangelist Alice L. Lowry Sage, 86, of Scottdale, Pa., went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 30, 2007, in the Connors Personal Care Home, Dunbar. She was born August 17, 1920, in Dunbar, Pa., daughter of the late Charles Lowry and Bertha Neighbors Lowry, and her husband, the late Robert J. Sage Sr. who was an Evangelist also.
She loved to play music especially hymns, an excellent cook and canned her own food. She loved the Lord and tried to help everyone.
She was a retired inspector at the Anchor Hocking Glass Co.
Surviving are her son, Robert J. Sage Jr. and wife, Judith of Irwin; daughters: Viola Gray of Connellsville, Nora Domico and husband, Jeff of Uniontown; sister, Ann Lowry of Uniontown; nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death is a son, Paul E. Sage, and a grandson, Steven Robert Sage.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m., on Thursday, February 1, 2007, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., on Friday, February 2, 2007, in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 Connellsville Street, Dunbar, Pa.
Services will be held in the Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home on Saturday, February 3, 2007, at 10 a.m.
Interment will be held in the Franklin Cemetery.
