LH to host Winter Community Day
Laurel Highlands Academic Foundation is sponsoring its first Winter Community Day on Friday at the Laurel Highlands vs. Derry boys basketball game at Laurel Highlands High School. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The cheerleaders hosted their Third Annual Cheerleader Clinic Sunday, and those girls will perform during the junior varsity game starting at 6 p.m.
Senior football player Randy Rankin, who was this year’s Most Valuable Football Player in Section 2 and named to the All-State Big School Football Team, and football coach Jack Buehner, who was named HSTV’s Fayette County Coach of the Year, will be honored during the pre-game segment of the varsity game.
