Edward F. Skiles
Edward F. Skiles, 64, of Masontown, Pa., and formerly of Fairchance, Pa., died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, in the Uniontown Hospital ER. He was born February 3, 1942, in McClellandtown, Pa., son of the late Archie John Skiles and Frances Blair Skiles.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Edgar Franklin “Cubby” Skiles Jr. and his sister, Kasiah Chipps.
Ed was a self-employed contractor for many years until retirement.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Nancy Tate Skiles; two children, Heather Ellsworth and husband Russ of Smithfield, Pa. and Heath Skiles and wife Tiffany of Masontown, Pa.; nine grandchildren, Nathan, Kathryn, John, Tyler Joe, Melissa, Devon, Terry, Zowie and Xander; three sisters and a brother, Frances Maust Reiti of Millville, New Jersey, Mary Dukate and husband Charles of Elmer, New Jersey, Betty Burwell and husband Thomas of Lima, West Virginia, and Archie Skiles Jr. of McClellandtown, Pa.
The family will receive friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, February 3, 2007, until 10 a.m. the hour of service with Pastor Steve Baker of the Haydentown Christian Church officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
