Andrew “Andy” Paul Ottoviani, 57, of Butler, Pa., died Thursday, February 1, 2007, in Butler Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Sunday, June 19, 1949, in Brownsville, Pa., the son of Catherine (Branich) Ottoviani of Brownsville and the late Louis Ottoviani.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the American Legion no. 117, Moose, Elks, Slovak Club and the Italian Club of Butler. He was an avid football fan and loved the Steelers. He was the former owner of Action Home Sales.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his loving wife, Sue Ottoviani of Butler whom he married May 24, 1996; two step-daughters: Shelly Pelzer of Masontown, Pa., and Heather Tuman and Jason Swarrow of Monessen, Pa.; two grandsons: Damian and Lucas Swarrow of Monessen; three sisters: Mrs. Robert (Rita) Norman of Brownsville, Pa., Mrs. Noah (Judy) Knight of Virginia and Mrs. Floyd (Patty) Silvia of South Carolina; four brothers: Louis and Patty Otto of Adah, Pa., Anthony and Judy Ottoviani of Virginia, Joseph Ottoviani of Virginia and Dominick and Marcie Ottoviani of Newell, Pa.; and a number of nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his faithful dog and sidekick, Louie.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2007, in the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, LTD., BUTLER, Pa., with services by the American Legion No. 117.
