Joseph Maczko, 89, of Braznell, Pa., died Friday, February 2, 2007, in his home. He was born on May 4, 1917, in West Brownsville, Pa., son of the late George and Mary Fencik Maczko.

Joseph was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and the Construction Local 286.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie Hrabak Maczko; a son, Joseph J. Maczko and Elizabeth of Grindstone, Pa.; grandchildren: Ronald Burkholder, Lisa Kissane and husband, John Joseph Maczko and wife, Melissa, Gina Adamek and husband, Tom and Dana Collins; great-grandchildren: Marcus, Taylor, Thomas, Clay, Alexa, Makenzie, Hailee, Elizabeth, Joseph IV, and Emma; brother, William Maczko of Brownsville, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca, brothers, George, John, Michael and Thomas Maczko and sisters, Mary, Helen, and Elizabeth.

Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 9 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Father Jerome Botsko officiating.

Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park.
